Dr. Karen Arms attended Oxford University, receiving her B.A. in biology in 1964, and remaining to complete her M.A. and Ph.D. by 1967, along with her J.D. from Cornell University in 1980. She found the Stranded Wind Initiative via a diary on DailyKos covering our projects and has agreed to help with various aspects of the project along with gathering information for an update of her environmental science text.

Dr. Arms has worked as a writer since 1977 while holding various teaching positions and has authored seven books.
