The global warming debate

There are a handful of "global warming skeptics" out there who have some sort of science credentials and these poor fools either put themselves forth or get drug out as a basis to continue the so called "debate" about global warming.

There was a recent metastudy of the peer reviewed science in this area. About a thousand papers were inspected, seventy five percent found that the climate was warming and human activities were to blame. The other twenty five percent merely found and described warming without attributing it to a cause. There is no peer reviewed science that disproves or otherwise calls into doubt global warming. Anything that looks like it isnt', its undoubtedly traceable back to some fossil fuel industry funding.

We only respond to peer reviewed science in this area and this information is made somewhat accessible to the layman at Real Climate. You don't see any of this so called global warming debate here because anyone that tries is promptly ejected and whatever they've posted is removed. The hour is late and we have no time to play with "paided" industry trolls or crazy people parroting their positions, no matter what their motivation might be.

I'm a physicist at the University of California, Davis and wanted to reinforce that there is no serious and credible debate about Global Warming. We have direct measurements to show that its happening and that it's caused by people.

The last shreds of real scientific argument was put to an end very recently (though no physicists or climatologists I've ever met doubted it).

Please understand the science is about skepticism, so I'm sure there are scientific skeptics of Global Warming out there. But all reliable evidence and explanations support Global Warming as being real.
